July 19, 2006: I have implemented new programming to make this section of the site easier for me and, more importantly, easier for my visitors to post their letters faster.

The letters section is now in a 'guest book' format. When you post your letter, I will be notified and all I have to do is click a button to approve your letter submission. No more waiting for me to have the time to create a new html page!

Remember the following when posting:

There is no guarantee that Michael J. Fox will ever read your letter.
When you create your letter, you can post anything you wish. Your message doesn't have to be nice, complimentary or touching to be included. However, letters are posted at my discretion. If I receive something that is particularly vile, I won't include it.
You do not have to include your e-mail address. If you do not wish for your address to be public, simply leave the field blank.
Whatever you enter into the form will be available for the whole world to see. Don't post anything too private.
If you are under the age of 16: Do NOT post your age.

When I started this website in 1996 (then known as The Michael J. Fox Story) I placed a statement on the site informing people that I am not Michael J. Fox and can not contact Mr. Fox. I also stated that I can not forward email to Mr. Fox. This same message has been posted to the site with every upgrade and redesign.

Despite this, I continue to receive mail meant for Mr. Fox. In the past, I simply filed these messages into a folder in my mailbox.

Over the years I have received e-mails that were silly, funny, ignorant, intolerant, and downright rude. However, I also received e-mails meant for Michael J. Fox that were very nice, complimentary and sometimes very touching. This helped me decide to create this section of the website.
