Last weekend ‘Back to the Future’ was popping up all over the place – Twitter, Facebook, etc. – in regards to a mistaken date. Turns out that date was incorrect. Ah, the internet. Such an interesting place.

Sorry the site’s been so quiet this week. Things have been busy. (Spring always is).

I wanted to post these couple of things, though. First, do you miss the NBC Thursday night line-up from 1985? Were you not even alive and are curious to see what TV was like back in the rad 80′s? Then join this Facebook group! They’re looking to convince NBC to run their Thursday night line-up from the 1985 television season, which was pretty freakin’ phenomenal: The Cosby Show followed by Family Ties followed by Cheers, then Night Court and finally Hill Street Blues. Every show a hit and every show worthy of its popularity.

I honestly doubt NBC would ever do anything like this, but you never know what can happen.

Second, Jorgen Lund sent me a link to a couple of YouTube videos he posted of The Frighteners Wrap Party Video. I know I’ve never seen this before and it’s not on the DVD. Lots of behind the scenes stuff. Watch below:

Back to the Future Stands Test of Time…by Andre Salles

“Back to the Future” has somehow stood the test of time. Don’t believe me? On Saturday, I could have gotten an “amen” from hundreds upon hundreds of people who came out to Hollywood Palms in Naperville to see the movie on the big screen and meet four of its stars in person.

TV Shows on DVD is reporting that the full first season of Spin City will be available for purchase on November 4th, 2008 for a (suspiciously) low price of $19.99. Click here for more details.

In other news, one of the Hoverboard props from Back to the Future part II is now up for auction at eBay. Take a look here, but don’t get your hopes up too high unless you have a spare $30,000 lying around.

Bright Lights, Big City has already been released to DVD. However, the print was only ‘acceptable’ and it was released in *shudder* pan & scan.

For the film’s 20th Anniversary (god – I feel old) MGM is releasing a special edition, widescreen, extras-laden edition with a beautiful cover.

Commentary with novel and screenwriter Jay McInerney
Commentary track with cinematographer Gordon Willis
The Light Within Featurette
Big City Lights Featurette
Photo Gallery

Release is set for September 2nd with a retail price of $14.98 – a great deal!
