Trivia

In August of 2012 it was announced that NBC had picked up a new situation comedy created by and starring Michael J. Fox, loosely based on his life experiences. NBC committed to a 22 episode production without even needing to see a pilot.

Wendell Pierce, who plays Mike Burnaby’s boss, may have been the prototype for the role in which he was cast.

The family’s original surname was going to be ‘Burnaby’ but this was later changed to ‘Henry.’
