EXTRAS

Trivia

According to the CBC website, this program was produced in the late seventies, most likely 1976 (I have read conflicting accounts on the actual production dates) but didn’t air until 1981.

According to the TVArchive.ca website, the program DID air earlier than 1981. It aired locally in British Columbia and episodes appeared sporadically on other CBC stations as early as 1978.

This program was a successor to a pilot called “The Italian Express” which starred Chuck Shamata as Leo and Dale Walters as Jamie.

Michael J. Fox played a ‘bright 10 year-old’ but was actually 15 when he performed the part of Jamie Romano.

Several people who worked on this program have been diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease.
