PLOT DESCRIPTION :: Alex, being as deep as ever, decides to pick
his new girlfriend from the freshman directory and picks a perky blonde.
She is exactly as expected, but it's her roommate, Ellen Reed, that
Alex can't stop thinking about. However, Ellen is engaged to her 'sort
of' boyfriend and leaves the episode, running to the train station to
get married, shortly after Alex kisses her on the dance floor.

she gives herself credit for. Finally, Mallory agrees to at least try
college for a year and then take it from there.

Eugene lays eyes on Jennifer and knows she must be his. Alex convinces
Jennifer to go out with Eugene to a disastrous end, as Eugene finally
shows his age and has a tantrum in the middle of a department party.
However, Jennifer actually likes seeing him act his age and all ends
well. We never see Eugene again.
