--Harold

--------------------
Hey baby, ten-hut. Nice hair cut over there. Be all that you can
be. How was Granada, man? Hey Louie, Louie. What's goin' on here?
Is the President here today or something?
--Stiles
--------------------
There are three rules I live by: never get less than 12 hours sleep,
never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city,
and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on
her body. Now, you stick to that and everything else is cream cheese.
--Coach
Finstock

It doesn't matter how you play the game, it's whether you win or
lose. And even that doesn't make all that much difference.

This
film refers to:
An American Werewolf in London (1981)-Some of the morphing
scenes in Teen Wolf, although not nearly as impressive, are reminiscent
of the morphing in American Werewolf in London.
Police Academy (1984)
This film spoofs:
Saturday Night Fever (1977)-While Scott is getting ready
for the Spring Dance, he dresses in a white outfit very much like
John Travolta's in Saturday Night Fever to the tune of 'Stayin'
Alive' by the Bee Gees.
This film is featured in:
The Celluloid Closet (1995)-The garage scene where Scott
tells Stiles that he's a werewolf is used as an example of how the
word 'fag' has been used in films. |

| Different
Versions |
The
following is a list of changes made for American television, unless
noted otherwise.
Deletions:
On network television, the entire scene in which Scott confides
his Werewolvism to Stiles is completely removed. This is probably
because of the fact that Stiles is looking for marijuana to smoke
and the word 'fag' is used.
On network television, the entire Pamela seducing Scott scene is
completely removed. This is probably cut because the majority of
American viewers are prudish and afraid of sensuality.
On cable television, both the confession and seduction scenes are
included. However, the confession scene is edited so that it is
unclear what Stiles is looking for (marijuana) and the word 'fag'
is removed.
In some instances, the word 'suck' is either muffled out alotogether
or replaced with other dialogue. Despite the fact that most Americans
are prudes, most of them also have dirty minds, thus the word 'suck'
becomes 'obscene.'
In the United Kingdom version of the film, the confession/marijuana
scene is still in, but five seconds are cut, mainly when the stash
is shown.
Additions:
After Boof runs away from Scott when he is walking her home and
refuses to confide in her, a pack of dogs chase Scott home until
his dog (Daisy) comes to his rescue.
In the Way to Go montage, some extra scenes are added of
Scott taking a picture with the cheerleading squad and Mr. Lolley
seeing this picture in the school paper.
After
the Spring Dance, Scott and his father have a heart to heart talk
on the front porch of their house. |

| TRIVIA |
 |
Michael
J. Fox worked on Teen Wolf during a 5 week hiatus from 'Family
Ties' while his co-star Meredith Baxter-Birney gave birth to
twins.
SIX DEGREES OF MICHAEL J. FOX: David Naughton, star of Midnight
Madness, is most famous for his role of a young werewolf
in the film An American Werewolf in London - Michael J. Fox
starred in Teen Wolf as a young werewolf, which pays homage
to Naughton's film during the transformation sequence.
NOTE (03/03/05): The following trivia was added sometimes in
2004. I have just found out by a site visitor named Dave that's
it's a joke and Mark Arnold is not Mark Piazza. Yep, I fell for
it, but I hate sports and wouldn't know Mark Piazza to save my life.
I'm leaving this here in case anyone is intersted in reading the
fake article:
Mark Arnold (Mick McAllister) became a professional baseball player.
His real name is Mark Piazza and plays for The Mets. Click
Here to read a (very bad) interview regarding Mr. Piazza's
very short-lived movie career. I swear, it sounds like the person
conducting the interview took too many baseballs to the head in
his youth. Or is this how all jocks talk? No wonder I loathe sports. |

| 'GOOFS' |
 |
CREW
OR EQUIPMENT VISIBLE
The camera's dolly tracks are visible in the shop windows as Boof
and Scott walk down the street.
AUDIO/VISUAL NOT IN SYNC OR AUDIO/VISUAL
DOES NOT MATCH
The line 'on top of everything else, there was a full moon
last night' by Scott is clearly dubbed in and this is not what Scott
is saying. (I have been unable to decipher what it is that he did
say originally.)
GEOGRAPHICAL ERRORS
The film is set in Nebraska, but there are no palm
trees in Nebraska which are clearly visible in the film.
