TV Shows on DVD has announced the release date of Family Ties season 5 on DVD: March 10, 2009. This is the season that introduced Brian Bonsall as Andrew – and this wasn’t as bad a thing as a lot of people think. Andrew had a few of his own episodes, sure, but he was never all that omnipresent as some like to remember.
The only extras listed are a gag reel, which I guess means that they’re no longer including the network promos. That’s really a shame. Some of those were great.

I am looking for the episode that has Meredith (Mum) & Michael (Alex) at odds as he is headed off to college without thinking about what he leaves behind. My daughter had just left for Uni and I thought I like her to see the episode. Please confirm if this is in series 5?
